This week we will continue working in Career Cruising.  Our goal will be to complete and upload your Career Essay by Friday.  The week is scheduled to go as follows:

Monday:  Career Cruising Worksheet #1 (Shared through Google)
Tuesday:  Career Cruising Worksheet #2 (Shared through Google)
Wednesday:  All School Testing 
Thursday:  Begin Career Essay
Friday:  Complete and submit Career Essay

ECT Flyer Assignment

“Famous Person in History”

DIRECTIONS:  Using tools learned in the prior assignments, you are to create a flyer outlining details about a famous person in history.  In creating this flyer, you should use the Internet to research various facts and points of interest about this person, and make sure to include the following:

·     A detailed description of the person, including date of birth, and death if they are deceased.

·     A description of what this person is famous for.

·     A photo of the person.

·     A page border of your choice.

·     A minimum of three different font types, sizes, and colors.

·     A footer with your name, period, and today’s date.

Be as creative as you like when designing this flyer.  Extra points may be given for creativity above and beyond what is required.  When complete, remember to save your flyer to your h: drive and share with your teacher.  This flyer is worth 50 points.

Welcome to Monday!!!

This week we will begin our unit on word processing.  We will begin with a guided practice on developing flyers, and the use of formatting tools in Microsoft Word.  We will also go over how to upload Microsoft documents into Google drive so that they can be submitted electronically.  Lessons for the week are listed below:
